King Size RAW Cones: Specs, Capacity, and Bulk Pack Sizes

by Jeff McKinnon on Oct 22, 2026

King size RAW cones are pre-rolled cones that measure 109mm (about 4.25 inches) and include a built-in 26mm filter tip. They hold up to roughly 1.25 grams of ground herb or tobacco, so one cone is enough to share. You fill the cone, pack it, and twist the top, with no rolling skill needed. They come in Classic, Organic Hemp, and Black papers, in packs from a few cones up to 5,600-cone master cases.

This guide explains why king size is the size most people buy, how to choose a paper type and a pack size, and what you pay per cone at 100, 1,000, and case quantities. It ends with a short method for filling a cone so it burns evenly.

Green Blazer is an authorized RAW distributor based in Las Vegas, and the specs and prices below come from the king size cones we list. We generally sell to buyers 21 and older, and you should only use cones with materials that are legal where you live.

Why king size is the standard RAW cone size

King size is the standard because it balances capacity and burn time. It is long enough to share and slow enough to enjoy, yet short enough that one person can finish it. That is why RAW's Classic King Size is often called the OG of pre-rolled cones, and why it is the size most smoke shops and pre-roll producers stock first.

How king size compares with other RAW sizes

King size is bigger than a 1 1/4 cone. A 1 1/4 holds about 0.75 grams, while a king size holds up to 1.25 grams. The Peacemaker is the step above king size, at roughly 2 to 2.25 grams. RAW also makes much longer novelty cones such as the Emperador and Supernatural, but those are specialty items, not everyday sizes.

How king size compares with other RAW sizes

Cone size Typical capacity Who it suits
1 1/4 About 0.75 g Quick solo sessions
98 Special Up to 1.0 g A slightly smaller solo cone
King size Up to 1.25 g (Organic up to 1.5 g) Solo or shared sessions, most buyers
Peacemaker About 2 to 2.25 g Groups and long sessions

If you searched for big RAW cones or XL RAW cones, king size is the largest size that still works as an everyday cone. Go to the Peacemaker only if you routinely share with several people.

What a king size cone really holds

The listed figure is a ceiling, not a promise. Classic and Black king size cones are listed at up to 1.25 grams, and Organic at up to 1.5 grams. In practice you will land between 1 and 1.5 grams, depending on how finely you grind and how tightly you pack. A fluffy, coarse fill holds less. A fine, even grind packed firmly holds more.

For planning, assume about 1 gram per cone. A 100-cone pack then needs roughly 100 grams of material if you fill every cone.

A king size RAW cone holds up to 1.25 grams, and your grind and packing decide how close you get.

How to choose between Classic, Organic, and Black

Pick Classic if you want the standard RAW experience, Black if you want the thinnest paper and the cleanest flavor, and Organic if you prefer hemp. All three come in king size and share the same 109mm length and 26mm tip. The difference is the paper.

The three paper types

Paper Listed capacity What sets it apart
Classic Up to 1.25 g Unrefined, unbleached plant fibers with a tree-sap gum line
Organic Hemp Up to 1.5 g Hemp fibers, with a bolder character
Black (ultra thin) Up to 1.25 g Double-pressed, extra-fine paper that burns slowest

The three paper types

All three are free of dyes. The Classic line is the baseline that most buyers compare everything else to.

Which one fits you

Choose Classic if you are unsure. It is the best-known option and usually the easiest to find in bulk. Choose Black if you smoke premium flower and want the paper to stay out of the way, since the extra-fine paper lets more terpene flavor through. Choose Organic if you want hemp paper.

Price rarely decides this. At the 1,400-cone box level, the listed starting prices work out to about $0.080 per cone for Organic, $0.082 for Classic, and $0.086 for Black. If you are buying RAW black cones in bulk, the premium over Classic is small.

Paper type changes the flavor and burn, not the size, so choose on taste and let price break ties.

How to pick a pack size from 100 cones to a full case

Match the pack to how fast you use cones, because the per-cone price drops sharply once you move from small packs to boxes of 800 or 1,400. For personal use, a 50 to 150 pack is practical. For a shop, a producer, or a heavy user, the bulk boxes and master cases cost much less per cone.

Pack sizes and what they cost

These are the Classic King Size options we list. Prices are the listed starting prices, so check the product page for current figures.

Pack Cones Listed price Per cone
50, 100, or 150 pack 50 to 150 From $14.99 Varies by count
12 packs of 20 (retail box) 240 $35.99 About $0.15
800 box 800 $89.99 About $0.11
800 master case 3,200 $263.99 About $0.08
1,400 box 1,400 $114.99 About $0.08
1,400 master case 5,600 $415.99 About $0.07

A worked example: you need 1,000 cones

You might guess that two 800 boxes or an 800 box plus a retail box is the way to reach 1,000. It is not. One 1,400 box costs $114.99, or about $0.082 per cone. An 800 box plus a 240-cone box gets you 1,040 cones for $125.98. Two 800 boxes cost $179.98 for 1,600. So the single 1,400 box gives you the most cones for the least money, and the extra 400 cones are a buffer.

Cases for shops and producers

A master case is four boxes. The 1,400 master case holds 5,600 cones, measures 12" x 15" x 15", and weighs about 8 pounds. The 800 and 1,400 boxes can be filled by hand or in a commercial pre-roll filling machine, which is why producers favor them. If you are searching for a case of RAW cones or 1,000 RAW cones, start with the 1,400 box and move to a case once you reorder regularly.

For 1,000 cones, one 1,400 box beats every combination of smaller boxes on price per cone.

How to fill a king size cone without canoeing

Fill the cone evenly in layers, pack it gently, and twist the top closed. Canoeing, where one side burns faster than the other, almost always comes from uneven packing or damp material, not from the cone itself.

  1. Grind evenly. A consistent, medium-fine grind packs uniformly. Chunks create air pockets that burn fast.
  2. Fill in layers. Add material a third at a time, tapping the cone on a flat surface after each layer to settle it.
  3. Pack gently. Use a pack stick or a pen to press the material down lightly. Aim for firm but not dense, so air can still pull through the filter tip.
  4. Leave room at the top. Stop just below the rim so you have paper to twist.
  5. Twist and light. Twist the top closed, then light the twist and rotate the cone for an even ember.

Store cones in their box in a cool, dry place. Humidity makes paper wrinkle and burn unevenly. If you fill hundreds at a time, a filling machine saves hours, and the king size cone's shape is built for it.

Even grind and layered, gentle packing prevent canoeing far more than any change of paper.

Which king size RAW cone to buy

King size RAW cones are the practical middle of the RAW range: 109mm long, a 26mm tip, and up to 1.25 grams per cone, or up to 1.5 grams in Organic. Pick the paper by flavor, then pick the pack by how many cones you use. Move to a 1,400 box or a master case once you pass a few hundred cones, since the per-cone cost drops from around $0.15 to as low as $0.07.
